Grammy award-winning singer Ayodeji Balogun popularly known as Wizkid has peaked at number one in Shazam’s most searched artist with his hit single ‘Essence’.
The announcement was made in a Twitter post on Tuesday by Wizkid’s radio account.
Shazam also confirmed the news in a Twitter post.
“Big congrats to Wizkid, Essence is now the most Shazamed song in the United States,” the post read.
‘Essence’ currently peaks at number 19 on billboard hot 100, while the remix, which features American singer Justin Beiber sits at number 28 on the billboard chart.
