Award-winning music star, Wizkid, has congratulated Canadian rapper and recording artiste, Drake on breaking the Beatles’ 54-year-old Billboard record.

Yesterday, a longstanding album from the Beatles felt the sting of a Scorpion – Drake’s recently released album.

Drake’s album set a record by posting seven simultaneous singles on Billboards Top 10.

That toppled the Beatles record of five singles set in 1964. Billboard notes the band remains “the only act to monopolize the Hot 100’s entire top five in a week.”

In a post to Instagram on Wednesday, Wizkid shared a picture of himself and Drake with the caption, “Congratulations @champagnepapi!! more everything!!”

Drake hailed Wizkid and Tekno last month for inspiring the album.

The ‘God’s Plan’ singer took to his Instagram life feed to salute the artistes that inspired him on his studio drive and the Nigerian Afro-pop stars were listed.

“Thank you to all the artistes that inspired me on the studio drives,” the rapper wrote.

Tekno’s ‘Jogodo’ and Wizkid’s ‘Soco’ (feat. Terri, Spotless, Ceeza Milli) were among Drake’s go-to tunes for inspiration.

The Grammy-winning rapper has previously collaborated with Wizkid on ‘Come Closer’, and was also seen in the studio with Tekno a few months ago.
