Parallex Bank Limited has added a fresh face to its board of directors with the appointment of Rachel Akhuetie as non-executive director.
With over 24 years of experience spanning multiple industries, Mrs Akhuetie is no stranger to high-level leadership. Her recent appointment is seen as a move that could signal bold steps ahead for the bank.
Akhuetie is currently the executive director of finance, commercial, and services at SunTrust Atlantic Energies Limited. She joined the company in 2003 and has left her mark on areas like joint venture coordination, asset management, and stakeholder engagement. Her knack for strategic thinking and growth planning has made her a trusted leader in her field.
Her resume is a mix of impressive credentials and hands-on experience. She’s a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA) and has sharpened her skills at Harvard Business School and Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Beyond finance and oil and gas, Akhuetie’s expertise extends to corporate governance, risk management, and international financial reporting standards. It’s no surprise she’s served on the boards of several companies linked to SunTrust Atlantic’s operations.
