Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo on Monday raised alarm over her safety in Benin, Edo State capital amid the wave of violence in the area.
The 34-year-old via Instagram said, “Somebody help!!!! I am trapped/stuck in Benin. It is raining fire and brimstone here.”
Earlier on Monday, Uche posted a video on her Instagram page saying it was about time the peaceful protest in Benin began.
But the Benin protest quickly took a different turn as prisoners were set free by hoodlums who hijacked the #EndSARS protest.
Meanwhile, Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki has declared a 24-hour curfew across the state in order to curb the violence.
