Twitter users accuse Buhari’s media aide, Tolu Ogunlesi, of blocking them

Tolu Ogunlesi, social media aide of President Muhammadu Buhari, has been accused of blocking some of his critics on Twitter.

Mr Ogunlesi came under attack on Twitter after releasing on Sunday what he called full tape of the Director-General of the Buhari Campaign Oragnisation, Rotimi Amaechi, who was taped allegedly criticising Mr Buhari.

The first set of tapes were released by Reno Omokri, a former aide of ex-president Goodluck Jonathan.

Ogunlesi had said that the leaked audio was clinically edited, stressing that the area where Mr Amaechi spoke about corruption was ‘edited out’.

“All over the clips are SUBTLE alterations like this, intended to change context. Cut out a few clarifying words here; join two unrelated bits very cleanly & professionally to alter the meaning/context. It’s actually very depressing – that anyone would go to these devious lengths,” Ogunlesi wrote in one of his tweets.

Following Ogunlesi’s defence of the transport minister, some Twitter users have accused him of blocking them as a result of their criticisms.
