Twitter has restored the verification badge of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo’s account after it was unsuccessfully hacked on Friday.
The hack attempt was confirmed by Osinbajo’s spokesman, Laolu Akande, who said Twitter was working to forestall a reoccurrence.

“Yesterday, there were failed external attempts to gain unauthorized access to the Vice President’s Twitter Account. Since, we have been in contact with Twitter, securing the account, and forestalling a reoccurrence. The VP will continue to actively communicate with our citizens,” Mr Akande had said on Saturday.
As at Monday, the account verification badge has been restored though not working perfectly yet.
The Vice President had on Sunday wished Muslims a happy Eid-el-Mubarak.
