Odion Ighalo makes first Manchester United start

Odion Ighalo

Odion Ighalo will lead the line as Manchester United takes on Club Brugge at Old Trafford on Thursday night.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer named the 30-year-old in a list released shortly before the match.

Anthony Martial gave Manchester United an away goal in the first leg of the Europa League round-of-32 tie which ended in a 1-1 draw in Belgium last week.

Martial will however, not feature the second leg, with Odion Ighalo instead lining up as center-forward, to make his first start for the club since arriving on transfer deadline day.

The former Nigeria international is one of seven changes to manager Solskjaer’s side from the first leg.

Scott McTominay is in the XI for the first time since injuring his knee in the Boxing Day victory against Newcastle United, while Eric Bailly is drafted in to partner Captain Harry Maguire in defence.
