Terrorists have killed a captain and two soldiers in an ambush on the Presidential Guards Brigade in the Bwari area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The servicemen were attacked on Sunday night after they visited the Nigeria Law School in Bwari following a distressed call from the authorities of the school.
The terrorists reportedly gave the school a letter indicating an imminent attack.
Among those killed in the ambush were lieutenant Ibrahim Suleiman and Captain Samuel Attah, both natives of Kogi State, reports Daily Trust on Tuesday.
Suleiman was the son of Col Suleiman Ahmodu Babanawa (rtd). He hailed from Okpo in Olamaboro Local Government Area. Attah was from Ibaji Local Government Area of the state.
The newspaper said the spokesman of the brigade, Captain Godfrey Abakpa, confirmed the attack.
The threat to attack the law school forced the Federal Government on Monday to order the immediate closure of the Federal Government College (FGC) in Kwali Area Council of the FCT.
Minister of education Adamu Adamu gave the directive in a statement by the spokesman of the ministry, Ben Bem Goong.
The government has also increased security in all unity schools nationwide.
