Pop singer, Tekno, has been credited as the producer of ‘We Won’t Be Late,’ a new song by American rapper, Swae Lee, and Canadian, Drake.

The song’s island and house-flavoured feel serve as a basis for its intended message of discussing taking a relationship slow.

The Canadian superstar met with the Nigerian in December 2017 and shared pictures of their meeting with the caption, Tek Time.

He later praised the ‘Agege’ singer as one of the inspiration for his 2018 album, Scorpion.

Tekno had last Thursday released the controversial video of his single ‘Agege’ featuring rapper, Zlatan Ibile, with semi-nude women dancing in a transparent truck on the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge in Lagos.

Videos of the incident showing four oiled girls in lingerie dancing around a pole with Tekno throwing foreign currency at them and smacking their butts went viral on social media a fortnight ago.

The singer was subsequently grilled for the incident at the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) Panti, Yaba.

The Federal Government has slammed the artiste for releasing the video despite ongoing investigation.

Director-General, National Council for Arts and Culture, Segun Runsewe, said in a statement on Sunday that Tekno would be made a scapegoat “to teach others a serious lesson.”
