A statement by the association’s spokesperson, Yomi Fash Lanso, made available to Qed.ng quotes Odule as saying they are making sure “the presence of stakeholders and practitioners at the event will go a long way towards ensuring our position in the society and letting the Nigeria government know what they stand to gain if entertainment is taken seriously by the government.”

He further stated though the past administration of President Goodluck Jonathan meant well for the industry, the practitioners missed a golden opportunity when an extraction of them went grant seeking from the government.

Though he believes strongly that the present administration of President Muhammadu Buhari is equally is equally desirous of a robust relationship with the sector, he advised that “practitioners with good intent for the industry must be engaged; not another set of self-centred group of actors that will take us back another 20years.”

The TAMPPAN inauguration and investiture ceremony will hold at Mauvee Event Centre, Ring Rod.

“It will be an event of glamour and colour,” Odule added.
