Reality TV star and beauty entrepreneur Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has completed her Guinness World Record attempt for the most makeovers in 24 hours, achieving a total of 145 transformations in Lagos.
The marathon event took place at the John Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture and History, beginning on Saturday and ending on Sunday evening.
Tacha’s attempt was part of the Tacha Beauty Festival, where she showcased her makeup skills on models of different skin tones and body types.
The event attracted celebrities and public figures including Alex Unusual, Toke Makinwa, Ice Prince and Idris Aregbe, special adviser to the Lagos State governor on tourism.
Despite a brief power outage during the session, the former Big Brother Naija housemate remained focused on completing the challenge.
Guinness World Records is expected to review her documentation before confirming the attempt.
Tacha had earlier told fans she chose to make the attempt in Nigeria to promote local creativity. She said Nigeria was home and that everything she had achieved started there, adding that she wanted the world to see what was possible in the country.
If officially certified, Tacha’s record will highlight Nigerian excellence in the global beauty industry and celebrate the creativity and resilience of young entrepreneurs in the country.
