The Supreme Court has upheld the judgement of the Federal High Court in Port Harcourt annulling the primaries of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State.

Jutsice Mohammed Dattijo, presiding over a five-man panel, gave the ruling on Friday.

The court affirmed that the APC in Rivers had no ward, local government, and state executives.

An Appeal Court in Port Harcourt had on February 4 overturned a Federal High Court decision to nullify all APC primaries in the state, giving the party’s state candidates hope of participating in the elections.
