Super Eagles to mourn victims of London attack against Senegal

Super Eagles of Nigeria

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will wear black armbands and observe a minute silent in their friendly clash with Senegal in commensuration of Wednesday’s London attack.

Ahead of the Eagles’ clash with the Teranga Lions at the Hive Stadium, London, Thursday, the three-time African champions have proposed to mourn the tragedy.

The terror attack, which saw the suspect mow down pedestrians on Westminster Bridge before going on to attack police with a knife, has already seen at least four people dead.

In the carnage, at least 10 people were hit by a vehicle on the bridge after a 4×4 drove into pedestrians and cyclists before crashing into the gates of Parliament.

The suspect, described by a witness as ‘middle-aged and Asian’, then managed to break into the grounds of the Parliament and stabbed a police officer before he was shot and injured. The policeman is feared to have since died.
