Sowore would have written bad things if I were the one arrested – Apostle Suleman

Senior Pastor of Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has criticised the convener of RevolutionNow movement, Omoyele Sowore, saying the publisher would have written a debasing story if he were the one arrested.

Mr Sowore, a former presidential candidate, was arrested by the Department of State Security (DSS) on Saturday, two days before the commencement of the RevolutionNow protests.

The protests, however, held in select cities in the country on Monday. In Lagos, police fired gunshots and teargas at the protesters.

In a tweet on Monday, Suleman called for the release of Sowore, adding that the publisher would not have done same for him.

“If I was the one arrested or detained @YeleSowore would had through his website made mince meat of it and even create a debasing story around it..that won’t stop me for calling for his release..the govt Is only making him more relevant by this act..Release him pls,” he said.

The preacher said in another tweet that Sowore who had mocked one of his prophecies for 2019 about a presidential aspirant’s arrest, was now detained, suggesting that Sowore could be the man being spoken of.

“I mentioned this as the 21st prophecy for the year..the same man whose website insulted and mocked the prophecy is detained..the govt should release him..the killer herdsmen walk free and you detain a man who is unarmed.wrong..,” he said.
