‘Sick’ Buhari attends Juma’at prayer with Magu, Monguno, others

Muhammadu Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday joined top government officials for the Juma’at prayer at the Presidential Villa.

This comes after speculations that the president, who has not been since in the public recently, might be ill.

His absence at the last week’s Federal Executive Council meeting and the cancellation of this week’s meeting heightened the thoughts amongst Nigeria.

It also comes on the day popular columnist and convener of Every Nigerian Do Something (ENDS), Perry Brimah, released a statement that Buhari was “chronically ill” and in need of urgent rest.

Present at the prayer session were the Niger State Governor, Abubakar Bello; Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malawi (SAN); National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno; Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Lawal Daura, and acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu.

Chiefs of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari, and Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to Buhari, Garba Shehu, were also present at the session.
