Shina Peller visits Sunday Igboho in Benin Republic over mum’s death

Former member of the House of Representatives Shina Peller has paid a condolence visit to Yoruba Nation agitator Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho, in Cotonou, Benin Republic over the death of his mother, Sikirat Adeyemo.

Mr Peller shared photos of his visit on Instagram on Friday.

“Though, mama’s death is very painful, I urged my brother to take solace in the fact that mama lived a purposeful and fulfilled life; she left good legacies behind one of which is Sunday Igboho himself,” he wrote, revealing the visit occurred on Thursday.

Peller, the Ayedero of Yorubaland, prayed for the soul of the deceased to find rest.

In his response, Sunday Igboho thanked Peller for the visit and seized the opportunity to share some of the good memories of his late mother with him. He described his late mother as loving, spiritual, all-embracing, nurturing, ever supportive, encouraging and a source of inspiration.

Sunday Igboho hails from the same Oke Ogun region where Peller is from. The former hails from Igboho in Orelope Local Government area of the Oke Ogun region, Oyo State, while Peller hails from Iseyin.
