Shehu Sani knocks Fashola’s claim on steady power supply

Senator Shehu Sani

Senator Shehu Sani of Kaduna Central has mocked a statement by the minister of power, works and housing, Babatunde Fashola, that some states in the country enjoy close to 24 hours of electricity supply.

Fashola had made the statement on Wednesday during a live programme on Channels Television.

He said Kebbi and Yobe States were some of the states that experience electricity supply almost round the clock.

“Sitting down here I can tell you some states that have almost 24 hours – Kebbi, Yobe. Some have five, some have 10 and there are still outages,” Fashola had said.

However, in a tweet on Wednesday, Sani said: “Some of the states that now enjoy 24 hours of electricity are Uranus, Venus, Jupiter, Mars, Saturn and Neptune.”
