Shafer Records pledges support for up and coming musicians

A new record label, Shafer Records, has arrived the Nigerian entertainment scene with a pledge to project and promote up and coming artistes in the country.

The new music house was officially launched on October 12 and it boasts of an in-house state of the art studio.

Located in the Lekki area of Lagos State, the main objective of the label is to scout the streets of Lagos for music talents who may not have resources to pursue their passion.

According to CEO of Shafer Records, Isaiah Oyibo, the label intends to produce top artistes that are capable of producing good music across Africa and beyond as well as influence the lifestyle of its esteemed audience and fans positively.

Theory (Samuel Oyibo), Lugi (Utibe Ndah Mackenzie) and Eluku (Lameed Temitayo Lukmon) are three new acts already signed by the outfit.

To prove their intentions are genuine, a new song titled ‘Too Much Love’, produced by Lugi, is the first collective effort of acts on Shafer Records and the song is currently enjoying airplay across Nigeria.

A brainchild of South Africa-based Oyibo, popularly known as Shafer, the firm was founded as a wholly independent music label on February 17, 2016.

It has been endorsed by notable Nigerian musicians such as Vector and Del B.
