Gospel singer Mercy Chinwo has shared a cryptic message on Instagram amid speculations that she left her record label EeZee Concepts.

Unconfirmed reports claimed the 31-year-old left the record label owned by Ezekiel Onyedikachukwu Thankgod last month over a disagreement.

In a post on Instagram on Monday night, the gospel singer shared a cryptic message saying, “God protect us from people who are being strategic with us while we are being genuine with them.”

Reacting in the comment section of her post, fellow gospel singer Joepraize wrote: “May our genuineness keep destroying their being ‘strategic’ in Jesus name.”

Chioma Jesus added: “Amen. Where is the lie? Nothing truer. Words on marble.”

Haaa. Okodoro Adura ree o. Amin Jesu Kristi Amin,” another gospel singer Tope Alabi wrote in Yoruba language.

Mercy was signed by the record label in 2017 after winning the Nigerian Idol season two in 2012.

Her major breakthrough came in 2018 with the song ‘Excess Love’ which gained her much popularity and recognition.

Other gospel artistes signed by the record label include Judikay, Chidinma Ekile, Minister GUC, Chris Morgan and Tobi Godwin.

Mercy got married in Port Harcourt to Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa of Water Brooks Church on August 13, 2022.
