Socialite Shade Okoya and her industrialist husband Rasaq Okoya on Thursday celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary.
The couple used the occasion to also celebrate Shade’s 47th birthday.
Opening prayer was said at 4pm before an “open house” celebration was held at Oluwanisola Estate along Lekki-Epe Expressway in Lagos.
Among the attendees were the Oniru of Iru, Oba Abdulwasiu Lawal; and media personality Bisi Olatilo.
Shade, a mother of four, serves as director in various companies under the Eleganza Group founded by her husband.
The socialite has also been involved in philanthropic activities, such as sponsoring the Folashade Okoya Kids Cup, which held its maiden edition in December 2014 in partnership with the Lagos State Grassroots Soccer Association.
In addition to her professional and philanthropic achievements, she holds different titles, including being the Bewaji of Lagos, Otun Aare Iyalaje of Ajiranland, Yeye Oge of Epe Land, Ajisewa of Oke Ona Egba, and patron of the Fashion Designers Association of Nigeria.
The anniversary drew well-wishes from prominent figures, including Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who extended congratulations to Shade on her 47th birthday.
