Comedian Seyi  Law celebrated 10 years on stage at his annual Fast and Funny comedy concert on Sunday at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Comedians Alibaba, AY, Omobaba, Â MC Shakara, Emeka Smith, Â Akpororo, Ushbebe and Whalemouth came out to support their colleague.
There were musical performances by Olamide, Banky W, Iyanya, Kcee, Harrysong, Shaydee, Sean Tizzle, Reekado Banks, Korede Bello, Di’ja, Selebobo, Tekno and Wande Coal.
2face Idibia and his wife, Annie, joined other celebrity guests seated in the hall.
Seyi law, whose real names are Aletile Oluwaseyitan Lawrence, wrote an emotional piece on his journey to prominence before the event.
His testimony reads thus: “In August, 2005, my cousin introduced me to a path, I have never walked before despite, telling my first supposed joke when I was about 4 years old. I didn’t know were I was headed, but I knew I wasn’t going to fail because I have always walked my paths with God. God’s evidence showed in December when I met Jedi who changed my name from Se E Easy? to SEYILAW. In August, 2008, I won my first sets of Awards becoming the first Comedian to win the maiden edition of Nigeria Youth Merit Awards, Youth Ambassador for Peace and Best New Generation Comedian at the Titbit Communication Awards. I made my first international trip that same month and bought my first SUV the same month after buying my first car, Honda Legend in February that drove me as oppose to me driving it. The car wan kill me na God save me from the Karishika. Hmmm, the story is long and the evidences are showing. I’ve won over 40 Awards, but my biggest joy is God has been with me throughout the journey making my deficiencies efficient through his sufficiency. I’m just thankful to him and you all. I don’t want to be too emotional, but I can’t keep the tears from flowing. It just has been God for real mehn.”
The award winning comedian is now one of the most sought after in Nigeria today.
