Afrobeat musician, Seun Kuti, has criticised parents who attend political rallies while their children remain at home due to ASUU strike.

The 36-year-old singer made this criticism on Friday in a message on Instagram.

“Until we are ready to serve our children and not just raise them, we shall never understand national development.

“How hijab crisis in a secular school can create more outrage than the closure of our university for months is the proof we need to know that we are willing to serve everything else but our children.

“Learn to serve your children not just raise them!” Seun wrote.

Seun Kuti is the youngest son of the late icon, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.

He has been nominated in the Best World Music Award category for the 2019 Grammy Awards for his Black Times album.
