President of the Association of Voice Over Artistes (AVOA) Segun Arinze has led members of the group on a visit to the director general of the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON), Lekan Fadolapo.
This was shared on AVOA’s official Instagram page on Wednesday.
The post read, “The Exco of the Association of Voice Over Artistes AVOA Nigeria yesterday led by the President Mr. Segun Arinze paid a courtesy visit to Dr. Lekan Fadolapo the DG of the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON) in Lagos.
“It was an insightful visit with Conversations centred around happenings and developments in the Voice Over industry. Discussions also focused on AI, Intellectual Property, industry reforms, digital advertising compliance, encouraging young voice over talents and the future of Voice Over in Nigeria amongst other issues.”
The Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria, known as Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria, is responsible for regulating advertising practice in the country, including ensuring that adverts meet legal and ethical standards.
Segun, an actor and broadcaster, was re-elected as AVOA president in May 2025 for a second term after first assuming office in 2021.
The Association of Voice Over Artistes is a professional body representing voice over practitioners in Nigeria. The association advocates for members’ rights, promotes training and development and engages regulators and stakeholders on issues affecting the industry.
