Actress Ruby Ojiakor has proudly shown off her wedding ring following her white wedding to filmmaker Moc Madu.
The 30-year-old, who held the final leg of her wedding on Saturday, was captured in a video from the reception flashing her ring for the camera in what many have interpreted as a message to her critics.
Ruby and Moc, who had their traditional wedding earlier in the year, sealed their union in a white wedding ceremony attended by several Nollywood stars.
Those present to celebrate with the bride included Ruth Eze, Luchy Donalds, Queeneth Hilbert, Destiny Etiko, BBNaija’s Queen Mercy Atang and Ngozi Ezeonu.
Earlier in the week, Ruby unveiled her first set of pre-wedding photos, describing their romance as her favourite love story.
In another post, she shared pictures of herself and Moc wearing matching white shirts and blue jeans. “In your arms is where I belong,” she wrote.
On Friday, the actress threw a bridal shower which quickly turned into a worship session. Ruby, known for her spiritual devotion, was seen worshipping deeply in the midst of friends and colleagues — a moment that sparked conversations online.
Ahead of the white wedding, Ruby addressed her haters and critics in a now-viral post, daring them to speak now or forever remain silent. “What God has joined together, let no man put asunder,” she declared.
In January, the Asaba-based actress surprised fans when she announced her engagement to Moc Madu via Instagram. She posted a video of the moment he proposed and wrote that she said yes to the love of her life, dedicating the engagement to God.
Their traditional wedding, which held on February 1 in Ruby’s hometown, also generated buzz.
In one of the most talked-about moments from the ceremony, Ruby removed her shoes and went down on her knees to hail her husband, whom she fondly called her “Odogwu.”
