Rotary District 9110 organises free surgical mission

Rotary District 9110 Nigeria and District 3020 India have concluded plans in organising a free surgical mission in Nigeria.

The initiative which was introduced in the last Rotary year has now been granted final approval by The Rotary Foundation.

According to Rotarian Femi Akodu, Coordinator, D9110 Free Surgical Mission, interested beneficiaries for the initiative are to pick free registration form to be completed by their doctors at the Rotary Centre at No 8, Ladoke Akintola Street, in Ikeja GRA, Lagos.

He added that all completed forms are to be returned to the centre on or before February 7, 2020.

Akodu named the proposed type of surgeries expected during the free surgical mission as:

Plastic Surgeries: Cleft lip, contractures from burns, keloids, hypertrophic scars.

General Surgeries: Hernia, Hemorrhoids, lumps, gall bladder stones.

Orthopaedic Surgeries: Limb deformities corrective surgeries.

Dental: dental caries, dental abscess, gingivitis, retained primary teeth, teeth fracture, maligned teeth, discoloured teeth.

Rotary International District 9110 comprises clubs in Lagos and Ogun States.
