Ranieri, Kane claim March Premier League awards

Ranieri

Leicester City coach, Claudio Ranieri, and Tottenham striker, Harry Kane, were crowned Barclays Premier League manager and player for the month of March.

The announcement was made on Friday morning after the pair excelled for the Foxes and Spurs who are first and second on the log.

Leicester went the whole of March without a league defeat, as they drew 2-2 with West Brom, before rattling off three 1-0 wins on the bounce against Watford, Newcastle and Crystal Palace.

Kane on the other hand, leaving aside his contributions for England, scored five goals for the North London club last month.

In addition, the Spurs no 10 completed 76 passes in the BPL in March, while he had a 62% shot accuracy.

Tottenham will hope to close the gap on the league leaders this weekend; however they’ll need to beat Manchester United at White Hart Lane.

As for Leicester, they head to relegation threatened Sunderland on Sunday in yet another massive game in their title charge.
