Portable apologises to Davido over Osun election saga

Music artiste Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has apologised to pop star Davido for calling him out during the Osun gubernatorial election.

While Portable backed Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC); an act which made Davido unfollow him on Instagram, the ‘Aye’ star supported Ademola Adeleke, his uncle and eventual winner of the poll.

At the time, Portable had knocked Davido for unfollowing him on Instagram over his support for Oyetola.

“Once again, my father is not a rich man. I come from the trenches but managed to bring my family into wealth. So support who support you. They wasted no time in unfollowing us,” he had said.

However, in an Instagram post on Tuesday, Portable asked the 29-year-old to forgive him.

“Accept your pass without regrets handle your present with confidence face your future without fear…Akoi apologies to @davido. We no get any issue. Akoi loyalty. Won ti settle eh,” he wrote.

His apology came after Olabode Thomas-Fagbayi, the Onitigbo of Tigbo-Ilu, instructed him to beg Davido over his behaviour during the election.
