Pop duo, Bracket, announce emotional cancer concert

After Vast, one-half of the group, Bracket, survived a battle with cancer of the blood in 2013; they decided to organise a concert aimed at giving hope, awareness, and relief to cancer patients.

Vast and his partner, Smash, made the announcement on Monday during an interview with Olisa Adibua and Maria Okan on the Morning Rush on Beat 99.9 FM.

The duo revealed that the concert will hold on July 3, 2016 at the Landmark Event Centre in Lagos with music stars like Flavour and Phyno in the line-up.

Vast, whose real name is Nwachukwu Ozioko, was diagnosed of Lymphoma in 2013 and had to undergo seven months treatment at Platinum Medical Centre in Wellington, London.

He revealed in an interview that during his ordeal, his partner, Smash, whose real name is Obumneme Ali, stood by him and made sure he was well taken care of.
