Ikechukwu Ozorumba, suspected killer of a Taxify driver in Lagos, Ebenezer Olotu, has been arrested by the federal special anti-robbery squad (FSARS) at Adeniji Adele, Lagos Island.

Ozorumba is a native of Obolo Uku, Delta State and is resident in 16 Yaro Street, Okokomaiko, Lagos.

The police say the 29-year-old allegedly conspired with his friend simply called Nkelechi, aka Sunshine to rob the Taxify driver of his Toyota Camry with registration number SMK 980 FM at Okokomaiko area of Lagos.

The pair allegedly strangled Olotu to death and drove the car to Imo in search of a buyer.

A palm oil farmer in Oguta area of Imo State, Chima Chukwuemeka, was also arrested for allegedly providing shelter for the suspect in his farm to evade police arrest.

Ozorumba was tracked to Imo State through the deceased’s phone number.

The stolen car has been retrieved and driven back to Lagos.
