Nigerian Taxify driver shot dead in South Africa

The Nigerian Union, South Africa, has said that a Taxify driver from Okposi, Ohaozara Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, Benjamin Okoronkwo, has been killed in South Africa.

Okoronkwo, 43, was shot dead by unknown gunmen at about 3 am on Saturday in his car, the union said in a statement on Sunday.

The union, according to the statement, has visited the scene of the incident and has opened a murder case at Mofartview Police Station in Johannesburg south cluster.

Okoronkwo is said to be survived by two children and a wife.

The union also urged law enforcement to investigate the Nigerian’s murder and prosecute the culprits.
