Edo police commissioner, Hakeem Odumosun, has revealed after investigation that there was no missing phone in the case of a sex worker who was assaulted in a viral video.

Mr Odumosun said this on Tuesday while addressing female protesters led by the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) and Edo State Commissioner for Justice, Prof. Yinka Omorogbe.

The assaulted lady, Favour Ada, was stripped naked by her accusers who forced pepper into her vagina claiming that she stole a phone.

Head of vigilance group in Ugbiyoko community, Lucky Igbinovia, popularly known as One Man squad, Joel Otoghile and Iyamu Kingsley, and three other persons have been apprehended in connection with the assault.

FIDA Chairperson, Iryn Omorogiomwan, urged the CP to ensure that the suspects face the full wrath of the law.

Edo State First Lady, Betsy Obaseki, said her husband was displeased by the assault, just as the state was left stunned.
