Peter Obi worships at Tunde Bakare’s church

Vice presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Peter Obi, on Sunday attended Pastor Tunde Bakare’s The Latter Rain Assembly in Lagos.

Mr Obi was accompanied by Ovation magazine publisher, Dele Momodu, who had visited the former Anambra State governor at his Lagos home earlier in the day.

Mr Momodu posted pictures and a video clip of the visit on social media.

Obi, who said he came for prayers and blessing, told the congregation that power is by the grace of God.

“As we go into election, help us to build a better Nigeria,” he said.

Obi and his principal, Atiku Abubakar, hope to defeat incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari in the February 16 presidential election.

Pastor Tunde Bakare was Buhari’s running mate in the 2011 presidential poll on the platform of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC).

Buhari lost that election to former President Goodluck Jonathan of the PDP.

He was elected president four years later, with another Christian pastor, Yemi Osinbajo, as running mate.
