Peter Obi celebrates running mate Datti Baba-Ahmed on 54th birthday

Presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the February 25 election Peter Obi has joined Nigerians in celebrating his running mate Datti Baba-Ahmed who clocked a year older.

Baba-Ahmed turned 54 on Friday. He was the Senator for Kaduna North in 2011 and was a member of the House of Representatives from 2003 to 2007.

Mr Obi said in his social media message that he was thrilled to be partnering with Baba-Ahmed in building a better future for Nigerians.

“My very dear brother, Sen. Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, I join millions of Nigerians rejoicing with and celebrating you on your birthday today. I celebrate your very immeasurable contributions to our dear country,” he said.

“Your passionate drive for a better nation has seen you investing in the most critical areas of human development – education, health and poverty eradication. These are the investments we need for a better Nigeria.

In the build-up to the presidential election, Obi visited Baze University in Abuja founded by Baba-Ahmed.
