Peruzzi apologises for old tweets after denying rape allegation

Peruzzi

Singer, Peruzzi, has apologised for some of his old tweets in which he boasts about raping women after being forced to deny another allegation of sexual assault.

The 30-year-old, born Tobechukwu Okoh, apologised for the tweets on Twitter on Thursday, saying that they are ‘not him.’

“In light of recent allegations, accusing me of rape in 2012, I want to say that I, Tobechukwu Victor Okoh, strongly refute such claim. I have never and will never rape or sexually assault anybody,” he wrote.

The Lagos-born singer again denied the claim made by a woman with Instagram username @Jayamah22, who on Tuesday accused him of raping her in 2014.

“The claim is false and has also been refuted by a witness who was present at the time of the allegation. Rape is a heinous and cowardly act, which I do not condone. I’m ashamed and deeply apologetic for a series of tweets posted on social media 8 years ago,” he added.

Peruzzi had earlier denied the allegation in a seperate tweet on Thursday.

“My name is Tobechukwu Okoh and I have never and will never be a rapist. Na una papa be rapist,” he wrote.

United Kingdom-based singer, Daffy Blanco, made similar accusations against Peruzzi in January which he also denied.
