The family of Dame Oreoluwa Kayode-Adedeji, MFR, foster mother of Penpushing Media founder Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji, has announced that her burial will take place on June 13, in Ilesa, Osun State.
Dame Kayode-Adedeji died on January 5, 2026, at the age of 84.
Mr Kayode-Adedeji said she played a significant role in his upbringing and personal development, adding that he remains grateful for her impact on his life.
According to a burial programme released by the family, activities will begin on Monday, June 8, with a tribute organised by the management of Omotayo Maternity in Ibadan. The event is scheduled to hold at a hall near Omotayo Maternity, Oke Ado, at 12 noon.
On Wednesday, June 10, the body will arrive at Omotayo Maternity for a lying in state between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., while a service of songs will take place at her residence in the Oni and Sons area of Ibadan from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
A commendation service is scheduled for Thursday, June 11, at Oke Ado Methodist Church, Ibadan, between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
Later that day, there will be a town rally, lying in state and reception in her hometown of Ilare-Ijesa in Osun State.
The family said the body will depart Ilare-Ijesa between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. and arrive in Imo, Ilesa, at about 6:30 p.m.
A Christian wake keep will be held in Imo, Ilesa, on Friday, June 12, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The burial service is scheduled for Saturday, June 13, at Methodist Church, Otapete, Ilesa, between 9:00 a.m. and 12 noon.
A reception will follow at Zenababs Event Centre, located within Zenabab Half Moon Resort on Ijebu-Jesa Road, Ilesa, from 1:00 p.m. onwards.
