Patoranking arrested at Uganda airport – Report

Patoranking

Nigerian reggae-dance artiste, Patoranking, was arrested at Entebbe International Airport in Uganda for failing to comply with immigration rules, according to media in reports in the East African country.

The Girlie O singer, whose real name is Patrick Okorie, was reportedly held for seven hours after he accused immigration officers of disrespecting and harassing him.

Multiple media reports quoted a source as saying “He failed to adhere to check-in rules and above all he had not secured his entry visa.”

It added that the singer was acting “too big” demanding a VVIP treatment.

“He was just told to remove his cap for security check but he chose not to listen to instructions. He was denied entry and arrested for disobeying lawful check-in orders,” the source continued.

He was eventually released and given entry visa after apologising to immigration officials, following which he checked into Hotel Africana in Kampala.

Patoranking released his debut album, God over Everything, on Monday and is visiting East Africa on a promotional tour.

He has already visited Tanzania.

His album features Wizkid, Elephant Man, Olamide, Phyno, Sarkodie and others.
