P-Square absent at Peter Obi rally in Uyo

Peter and Paul Okoye of P-Sqaure

Peter and Paul Okoye of the music group P-Square will not be joining the rally for the Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital on Tuesday.

Activist Aisha Yesufu made the announcement in a Twitter post on Tuesday, adding that although the duo will not attend the rally today, they will joining in the coming days.

She wrote: “Due to some unforseen circumstances PSquare will not be able to join the Peter Obi rally in Uyo. My apologies ⁦@rudeboypsquare⁩ and ⁦@PeterPsquare⁩ will be joining us in the coming days.”

Her tweet generated mixed reactions from Twitter user with a tweep identified as Save Juniors saying, “PSquare are hypocrites! They only support with mouth and less action! Celebrities will be doing worse.”

Reacting to the tweet, an angry Aisha who knocked the user said she should be blame for the duo’s absence.

“Stop this!PSquare @rudeboypsquare and @PeterPsquare were ready to do everything to be there. The unforeseen circumstances came from myself not from them. If you want to blame anyone, blame me,” she wrote.

Paul and Peter are among the celebrities who have continued to intensify their support for the former Anambra State Governor.
