Owo attack: Omoborty announces break from Instagram after condolence message

Actress Bidoun Okeowo popularly known as Omoborty has announced that she would be taking a break from Instagram.

The actress made the announcement on the platform after her condolence message to the victims of the Ondo church massacre.

Reacting to the tragic incident Omoborty wrote: “May God console all those affected in the Owo massacre. And protect the rest of us. Amen.”

Announcing her break from the social media platform, Bidoun wrote: “I will be off Instagram for few days. Love you guys.

In her previous reaction to the attack, the Yoruba actress wrote: “Sad is an understatement!!!. I can’t even post the video. It’s a gory sight Blo*d shed in the church. God, please take control of this country called Nigeria. Pray for Nigeria! Pray for Owo!! Pray for the people of Nigeria!!!”

Saddened over the attack, singer Simi wrote on Twitter saying, “I keep typing and deleting the things I’m feeling, because who cares how I’m feeling when people actually lost their loved ones. Their parents. Their children. Slight panic attack.”

Another singer Davido also called for prayers following the attack.

On his Twitter page on Sunday, Davido wrote, “Jesus take control. Pray for Nigeria. RIP to all the lost souls. #prayforondo. This is too much.”
