Evangelist Silekunola Naomi, estranged wife of the Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has begun promoting her YouTube channel days after returning to social media since the announcement of her separation in December 2021.

The channel named ‘HM Naomi Silekunola.O’ already had over 300 subscribers as of press time.

In a post to Instastory on Friday, February 11, Naomi urged her followers to subscribe to her YouTube channel for “upcoming events.”

The channel’s ‘About’ section shows she joined YouTube in February 2014 and had recorded over 21,000 views.

Although the prophetess said in December that she should no longer be addressed as queen of Ife, her Instagram bio still reads: “Official page of Her Majesty Queen Naomi Silekunola.”

Despite the announcement of separation, Naomi still has videos and photos of herself with the Ooni on her Instagram feed.

Naomi returned to Instagram on Tuesday, February 8 with a video of herself after getting a makeover.

She had said during the announcement of her separation that she tried to make the union work but that the monarch’s public identity was at variance with “his true self”.

She said, “I did my best to endure and make it work; many times, I smiled through the struggle, but I have finally realised I had just one assignment, my son, and when God is done, He is done. He chose Saul to be king, and when He was done, He told the prophet Samuel I have moved on.

“Religion was never an issue between us; please refer to my interview on News Central TV. Instead, His Majesty has a picture he would love the world to see and perceive him as and another one which is his true self.”
