Ooni of Ife’s ‘daughter’ clocks one year

Princess Adebukunmi Adeife, who is believed to be the daughter of the Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has clocked one.

Oba Ogunwusi on Thursday posted photos on Instagram in celebration of the princess.

The monarch did not state if the child is his biological daughter. He, however, stated that she reminds him of his mother and that she is a reincarnation of her.

“Princess Adebukunmi, Adeife is 1 year old today. Almighty God will grant you a long life to fulfil your destiny in this world,” he said.

“You keep my memory well refreshed of my mother, of blessed memory, as you are truly her reincarnation. Lots of love to Mama Adebuks.”

Fuelling speculations on the paternity of the child, blogger Abike Jagaban wrote on Instagram, “Happy 1st birthday to Princess Adebukunmi Adeife Ogunwusi, may you continue to be a source of joy to your families and the Source as a whole ijmn. May you live long to fulfil your destiny ijmn. Oomoba Ogunwusi Ojaja11.”

The Ooni has an older daughter, Princess Adeola, whom he had in his teenage years and a son, Prince Tadenikawo, from his estranged wife, Queen Naomi Silekunola.
