A member of the House of Representatives, Akin Alabi, has accused Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry, of snubbing him in London in 2014.

Mr Alabi was responding to Welsh football pundit, Robbie Savage, who tweeted on Friday that he would be meeting Henry’s representatives this week to finalise plans to auction the former France international’s 100th Arsenal goal shirt.

“Speaking to @ThierryHenry reps this week, we have agreed to Auction his 100th @Arsenal Goal Shirt! Money raised will go to NHS Charities Together – which works with 250 NHS charities & are currently running the @NHSuk Charities COVID-19 Urgent Appeal! 👇🏻” Savage wrote.

Alabi replied: “Good to hear he is doing good things other than snubbing people the way he snubbed me in Marylebone, London, 6 years ago.”

Henry wore the number 14 shirt at Arsenal, scoring 174 goals in 254 appearances.

The 42-year-old currently manages Major League Soccer club, Montreal Impact.
