Okorocha accused of dismantling state property in Imo

Rochas Okorocha

Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, has been accused of carting away state property in some parts of the state.

Residents around Heroes Square have said that men suspected to be acting on the governor’s instruction on Thursday began dismantling street lights and iron gates around the square.

Although the reports are unconfirmed, recordings have been shared on social media of the alleged incident.

Okorocha was unsuccessful in his attempt to have his son-in-law, Uche Nwosu, succeed him as governor.

The governor has been involved in war of words with governor-elect Emeka Ihedioha, who is expected to take over power in May.
