The Ogun State Government has announced the voluntary retirement of General Manager, Ogun State Broadcasting Corporation (OGBC), Engr. Tunde Awolana, and General Manager, Ogun State Television (OGTV), Engr. Dele Bolujoko, from public service with effect from Wednesday May 10.

A statement by the Ogun State Head of Service, Abayomi Sobande, said Governor Ibikunle Amosun has accepted the notices of resignations.

“On behalf of the Governor of Ogun State, I wish to seize this opportunity to appreciate the contributions of these general managers to the development of the state and wish them success in their future endeavours,” Mr Sobande wrote.

He added that the most senior management staff of the two organisations are “hereby directed to take over the management of the agencies pending further directives from the office of the head of service”.

  1. But contrary to the touted impression that the General managers of OGBC/OGTV resigned, they were asked to resign. The two media outlets need urgent funding and a total overhaul. Except LTV and EkoFM all government owned media houses are in ruins.
