Nigerians mock police ambassador Small Doctor over arrest

Small Doctor police ambassador

Nigerians have mocked musician Small Doctor over his arrest for alleged illegal possession of firearm and threat to shoot a police traffic officer.

The 22-year-old was paraded along with three others at the Lagos Police Command on Monday.

Parading the suspects, Lagos police boss Imohimi Edgal said that he was disappointed with the musician’s conduct because he had a case with the State CID, Panti for shooting a gun at his Agege show where he injured four persons.

“I am concerned as one will expect that a popular musician like him would be a role model but his character of gangsterism is nothing to emulate,” he said.

Small Doctor was among a group of popular Nigerian entertainers appointed police ambassador earlier this year.

The ‘Penalty’ singer and others like Omoni Oboli, Odunlade Adekola, Sound Sultan, Dr Sid, Korede Bello and Ruggedman were seen in police uniforms posing with celebrity police officer Dolapo Badmos.

He also performed at a show tagged ‘Entertainment Meets Security at the University of Lagos in March.

Taking a cue from the popular line “won ti gba penalty lo throw-in (they have played penalty kick out to a throw-in)”, Nigerians took to social media to mercilessly troll the embattled musician.
