Shiites protest for Zakzaky

Nigerians have criticised Channels Television over the death of its reporter, Precious Owolabi, who was killed in the clash between the police and members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN).

Owolabi, 23, was a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).

He was shot on Monday while covering the clash in Abuja.

The management and staff of Channels Television have said that they are “greatly saddened by the untimely and unfortunate death of such a promising journalist.”

Nigerians have launched attacks at the broadcast station for sending a supposed amateur to a ‘battlefield’.
