Nigerian arrested in South Africa on alleged possession of drugs

An unidentified Nigerian man was on Friday, May 10, 2019 arrested in Viljoenskroon in the Free State province of South Africa on alleged possession of drugs.

Members of Welkom Public Order Policing (POP) Reaction Team Welkom POP Reaction Team were said to be routine vehicles patrols in Viljoenskroon when they received information from a resident about drugs circulation within the residential area.

The patrol team responded instantly and approached a Nigerian man.

Upon searching him, they found 26 small plastics of crystal meth, 19 medium plastics of methcathinone  (cat) and 14 medium plastic of crystal meth.

The 28-year-old man will appear in court facing charges of dealing in drugs according to a report by fsnewsonline.co.za.

This brings the total number of suspects arrested in Viljoenskroon for alleged possession and dealing in drugs to four, in a space of one week.
