Nigeria Police gets new Deputy Force PRO

The acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Ibrahim Idris, has appointed Jimoh Moshood as the Deputy Force Public Relations Officer.

This is contained in a statement issued by the Force Public Relations Officer, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Don Awunah, in Abuja on Wednesday.

The statement said that Moshood, who hails from Kwara, holds a BSc in Political Science from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State.

It added that he was a Police Public Relations Officer at the Federal Capital Territory Command.

He attended several courses within and outside the country few of which are Crime Prevention of Korea Police, at the Police Training Institute, Seoul, South Korea.

Moshood was also the DPO Central Area Abuja between 2012 and 2013, among others.

Until his appointment, he was the Chief Superintendent of Police in charge of Department of Finance and Administration, FCT Abuja.

He has since assumed duty as the Deputy Force Public Relations Officer for the Nigeria Police.

Moshood replaces Sogbeba West who has since been posted to the Rivers State Command.
