NFF celebrates Etebo at 23

Nigerian footballer Oghenekaro Etebo

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has paid tribute to Super Eagles midfielder,  Oghenekaro Etebo, who clocked 23 on Friday.

Etebo was born November 9, 1995 in Lagos.

The NFF called on Nigerians to join in celebrating the powerful midfield maestro.

Etebo started his career at Warri Wolves in 2013, before joining Portuguese side Feirense three years later.

His exploits for the Dream Team at the 2016 Rio Olympics beamed the torchlight of other clubs.

He eventually moved to Spain to join Las Palmas last year in 2017.

And after the modest club suffered relegation, the Nigerian moved to Stoke City in England.

Etebo has been capped 16 times by Nigeria with one goal.

He will be expected to play a crucial role in the forthcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa, especially with the trio of Mikel Obi, Ogenyi Onazi and Wilfred Ndidi absent.
