Music producer, OJB Jezreel, dies at 49

Contemporary Nigerian music producer, Babatunde Okungbowa, popularly known as OJB Jezreel, is dead.

He was a few weeks shy of his 50th birthday.

The death, which occurred at the General Hospital, Isolo, Lagos in the early hours of Tuesday, has been confirmed by multiple sources.

It comes three month after that of his friend and colleague, Olumuyiwa Osinuga, popularly known as Nomoreloss.

OJB was diagnosed with a kidney ailment in 2013.

A public appeal was launched for his treatment, after which he travelled to India for a transplant in October of that year.

There had been recent reports of a relapse of the ailment.

He is survived by three wives and eight children.
