Mercy Johnson denies assaulting daughter’s teacher

Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson has debunked an allegation of assault on her daughter’s teacher made by a lady called Nancy Chidera.

Mercy had accused a teacher of bullying her daughter Purity.

The mother of four in a lengthy Instagram post said that the teacher has been bullying her daughter for two weeks. According to her, the teacher said she does not like the actress and that children of celebrities are ‘badly behaved’.

“A teacher at my child’s school has been bullying my daughter constantly for 2 weeks. She is not her class teacher yet she shows up at her class everyday to intimidate her! Uses biros to flick her hair. Tells her that she does not like her mother, tells her that celebrity kids are badly behaved and she should not bring her ‘aura, she stop feeling proud,” she wrote.

Reacting to Mercy’s claims in an Instagram story, the woman Nancy alleged that the actress went to her daughter’s school to fight the teacher who corrected her child.

Narrating a different version of what Mercy had earlier said, Nancy claimed that Purity bullied her classmate and refused to apologise and after she did, her mother came to the school to cause ‘havoc’ and humiliated the teacher.

“Why would you go to your child’s school to fight a headteacher because she corrected your child. So her child purity twisted the hand of a fellow student and the case was reported to the headteacher, the woman called both students to reconcile them and asked purity to apologised.

“The child told the teacher literally that she would never do that because she wasn’t taught to do so after much persuasion she apologised and the teacher dismissed both students only for Mercy Johnson Okojie to come to the school this afternoon to cause havoc, insult and humiliate the headteacher all for what?” she wrote in parts.

Responding, the 37-year-old in an Instagram live video on Friday, interacted with headteacher Miss Blessing who revealed that the actress did not assault her or send thugs to beat her.

In the video, other staff of the school corroborated Mercy’s claim that she did not assault anyone.

“Please guys I have to go off now, I just wanted my team to understand the true nature of what really happened, that’s all I have to say,” she concluded in the video.
